St Johns River Blues Festival

An exciting three nights and two days of great, home grown blues is planned for Palatka during the 2nd annual, 2011 St. Johns River Blues Festival; 6 PM Friday, November 11th thru 8 PM Sunday, November 13th. Alligator Records recording star, Tinsley Ellis, 2010 Festival winner Franc Robert & The Boxcar Tourists, The Charlie Morris Band, The 6th Street Rhythm & Blues Review and The Delta Blues Legend, “Willie Green” headline the evening shows Friday and Saturday and Sunday night. 16 regional blues bands and performers compete for more than $6000.00 in prizes, bookings and concert appearances donated by The Arts Council of Greater Palatka, Downtown Blues Bar & Grille and The Garden Recording Studio on our downtown Palatka Stages. The daytime blues competition in friendly downtown Palatka begins at 10 AM Saturday and covers six blocks of beautiful St. Johns Ave., and ends Sunday at 6 PM. Fun rides, face painting, arts, crafts and great food will fill the streets around two blues competition stages, one at the Putnam County Court House and the other at Prosperity Bank parking lot. The St. Johns River Blues Festival, Inc., is a Non Profit Florida Corporation with the goal to provide scholarships to Putnam County performing and fine arts students
