Ken & Mary Turbo Accordions

"Ken & Mary Turbo Accordions" is a band out of central Ohio. They've performed at numerous festivals/Oktoberfests, multicultural events, parties, dances, banquets, corporate events, and they have also put on many concerts around the Midwest, with one of their most popular concerts being a “Milestones & Memories” Welk-style variety show. They can perform for your events as a 2, 3, or 4 piece band. Ken performs on a custom-built gold & mother of pearl 5-row button accordion with the latest Austrian Limex/MIDI, so not only does his instrument sound like an accordion, but it also sounds like a large variety of other instruments such as piano, violin, banjo, trumpet, tuba, and even steel drums for their island cruise numbers (which begin with the blast of a cruise ship horn) and Alp horns, a yodeler, and cow bells for their “trip to the Alps”songs. Mary performs on a custom-built gold & mother of pearl piano accordion and is also a vocalist. To round out our band, they have a trumpet/vocalist and a percussionist. Ken also plays the Italian mandola and tenor banjo and loves to wow the audience with an awesome, sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat display of his talent on the banjo during their performances. Their repertoire offers a wide variety of music, which is fun and upbeat – perfect for festivals, stage performances, for dances, and anything in between. And for your Oktoberfests and ethnic/multicultural events, they have authentic colorful German costuming.
