Shanty Days "Celebration of the Lake" is a three-day fun filled family festival that has become an Algoma tradition. Located right on Lake Michigan in downtown Algoma, it has proven to be a yearly destination for local residents and tourists alike. Enjoy the leisurely stroll of shopping over 150+ vendors for unique and fun wares and handcrafted one of a kind juried art show items. Parade with Car Cruise and Show - Noon on Saturday. Live Music all weekend. Fireworks over Lake Michigan - Dusk on Sunday. 5K Walk/ Run - Sat 8am. Fun for kids including bouncy houses, live entertainment, games, activities and more.
