Come and enjoy Odessa Puddle Jumper Days! Fun, food and entertainment for all ages! Puddle Jumper Days has been an annual tradition since Odessa celebrated its centennial in 1978. The event was named after a train called a ""puddle jumper,"" which made stops at Odessa and other area towns for over 80 years, until the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio Railroad discontinued this service in 1960. The first full weekend of August was chosen as the date for the festivities.Information:
