Description of Event:
Each year, hundreds of people flock to Summersville to celebrate ""potato farming"", which is a significant part of Nicholas County's heritage. The festival is geared towards the family and provides an array of activities that include entertainment from local children's groups to well known entertainment bands. Cornhole Competition, Janet Williams Memorial Pet Pageant, Mashed Potato Eating Contest, Firemans Parade, Car Show, Potato Sack Race, NCHS Band Performance,Used Book Sale, Parade, Potato Idol Talent Search, Hot Wing Eating Contest, Fireworks, Vendors, Food, and much more. Hours: Friday 5pm-10pm; Saturday 8am-11pmInformation:
