Arasapha Garden Club’s May Market raises funds for the historic gardens of the New Castle Historical Society. Every year scores of visitors come to this free open-air event to purchase fresh plants and herbs, baked goods, white elephants and used books, arts and crafts, and raffle tickets for an original quilt. While our preference is for vendors selling garden-related wares and artisans and crafters selling beautiful, unique items for visitors and their homes, we welcome all vendors. May Market is held rain or shine. We encourage visitors to shop early for the best selection. Serious shoppers tend to come on Friday; casual shoppers tend to come on Saturday. Visitors are mostly adults and a significant portion are seniors; few are families with children.
