For over three decades the historic downtown square in Huntsville Texas has buzzed with excitement on the first Saturday in October as 300 plus vendors set up shop to sell arts, crafts, collectibles and food during the town's annual festival, the Fair on the Square sponsored by the Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce. A haven for antiques and shopping, the downtown square offers the perfect setting for visitors to stroll through the booths that line the streets, courthouse lawn and parking lots as well as the merchants who are permanently placed year round. This year marks the 37th annual for the Fair on the Square and will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1st. The day begins with the hustle and bustle of vendors preparing for over 10,000 spectators who take advantage of the free admission that is offered every year to those who are looking for one of kind treasurers that may not be found in stores. The Fair on the Square is an event that is not only anticipated by the citizens in the quaint town of Huntsville but also to those who travel from various surrounding counties.Information:
