Description of Event:
The weekend is a group effort among many local organizations to celebrate the history and heritage of our German roots, along with celebrating Fort Hays State University's Homecoming. Once again this year, the Ellis County Volga German Society, the Bukovina Society of the Americas, the Ellis County Historical Society and Fort Hays State University will provide a wide variety of activities throughout the weekend, including a family-friendly component of the celebration. The Volga German Society Oktoberfest is an annual celebration of the Germans from Russia heritage of Ellis County. The festival includes various activities and booths that provide food, crafts, refreshments, beer and musical entertainment.Information:
