Be part of this annual tradition in Elmhurst. Last year’s event included over 130 booths of one-of-a-kind art, food vendors, and hands-on kid’s activities and drew over 11,500 visitors.
As the first outdoor festival in the region each year, Art in Wilder Park is a highly anticipated Spring event in the western suburbs. In 2023 the event was voted one of the Best in the West, featured in numerous press outlets, and attracted nearly half of its visitors from outside Elmhurst. Post festival evaluations showed a high percentage of the attendees also visited and supported local restaurants, coffee shops, and other businesses.
What’s new in 2024?
JURY: Artist applications will be reviewed by a jury of Roz Long, of RGL Marketing for the Arts, Inc. Art in Wilder Park founder, now affiliate partner with Elmhurst Art Museum; Marissa Amoni, Marissa Bright Public Relations Event Management creator of Downtown Auroran Magazine and curator of the Geneva Arts Fest; and Tammy L Deck, TLD Design Center & Gallery fiber artist, exhibitor, and business owner.
OUTDOOR PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION: In 2023, our commissioned public art installation and scavenger hunt in partnership with the Elmhurst Park District encouraged more attendance, press, and engagement in Art in Wilder Park than ever before! Newly commissioned public art installation of life-sized monsters inspired by children’s drawings, will be the bold preview of our summer show with cartoonist Dave Pryor. The museum will have a special booth with information about this installation and Elmhurst Art Museum’s upcoming summer blockbuster exhibition.
