Description of Event:
Event will be held on February 17-18, 2017. Now in its 38th year, the Jalapeno Festival pays tribute to that most beloved of Laredo delicacies, the potently spicy little jalape"o pepper. The Jalapeno Festival also features the Miss Jalapeno contest, where women vie for the right to preside over this year's festivities. Other fun contests will thrill audiences, including the waiter's race, the grito contest and the immensely popular tug-of-war. But, it's the grand-daddy of them all, the La Costena Jalapeno Eating Contest that holds court. 6pm-12amInformation:
