Description of Event:
The 18th annual Wildlife Festival will be held on October 21, 2017. The festival focus on increasing awareness and promote the safe coexistence of humans and wildlife by fostering community appreciation of the Florida black bear and other native wildlife species, as well as Florida's unique ecosystems that serve as wildlife habitat. The Florida Wildlife Festival is a free, family-oriented educational event. The activities will include: Bear habitat field trips into the Ocala National Forest. Educational presentations about native Florida wildlife. Multi -media presentations. Children's arts and crafts area. The "Come Be A Bear" activity where children wear "bear vests" and learn about the seasons of a Florida black bear. Entertainment by local musicians. Storytelling and bear and wildlife oriented merchandise. Food and more. Hours: 9am-4pmInformation:
