Description of Event:
The 36th annual German Living Historic Festival will be held on October 21-22, 2017. Deutsch Country Days will be celebrating the history of 19th-century Missouri. Over 90 costumed, juried artisans and a volunteer staff of over 100 educate and inform guests about the folkways and life skills of their ancestors (German, French, and Osage Tribe). Guests may try their hand at rope weaving, dipping candles, and cross-cut sawing alongside the artisans to assist and instruct. Enjoy homemade apple butter, caramel apples grown locally, freshly-pressed sorghum grown and harvested in Missouri, freshly-pressed apple juice, and much more. Hours: 9am-5pmInformation:
