U-FEST is a celebration of the wide range of artistic and creative talents abundant in Northwestern Wisconsin and the upper Midwest. Held on the campus of UW-Barron County in Rice Lake, WI, the U-FEST will be free to the public. 2nd Annual NW WI Writers' Festival will be held both days. On Friday night, Stories Under the Stars features local authors reading from their works. Bring your lawn chairs or blanket and settle in for a family-friendly, imagination-inspiring evening! Saturday's Events includes : Community Poetry Slam on the Music and Entertainment Stage. Music and Entertainment Stage featuring local and regional musicians, comedians, authors and other performers. Arts and Crafts Fair featuring unique, hand-crafted items available for purchase. Food Vendors featuring area mobile food trucks and ethnic offerings for purchase. Adult beverage sampling featuring local microbreweries, vintners, and Leinenkugel's Specialty Beers for purchase. Hours: 9am to 5pmInformation:
