Description of Event:
The 30th Annual Taos Pueblo Pow Wow will take place July 10-12, 2015. A pow wow is a gathering of Indian Nations in a common circle of friendship. Indian Country is made up of many tribal nations, bands, villages, and pueblos, each with their own traditional tribal beliefs and practices. There are many arts and crafts and food vendors that set up at the Taos Pueblo Pow Wow. Sterling silver jewelry, beadwork, shawls, paintings, and the like will be for sale at the numerous booths that encircle the pow wow grounds. There is also a variety of different foods like curly fries, fried bread, bratwurst and sauerkraut, roasted corn, custard, and shish-ka-bobs that should be sampled while you enjoy your visit to the pow wow. Dance and Drum Contest, Gourd Dancing, Drum Roll Call, Dance Competition, Intertribal Dancing, and much more.Information:
