Description of Event:
September Saturdays is the largest annual festival and community event in Douglas County. September Saturdays is unique in that it is held on two consecutive Saturdays in September, September 19th and 26th, 2015. Community Marketplace with over 100 vendors. Choral Concerts on the Courthouse Steps every 30 minutes beginning at 12 noon. Food Court. Children's Play Area with inflatable games and Animal Shelter pet adoptions. Family Amusement Rides. Fire Safety House. Computerized Child ID Program. 8 p.m. Outdoor Family Movie (bring your own seating) and a lot more. Family Day on the 19th will feature booths from schools of the Douglas County School System in which the schools will promote and explain their programs, and possibly raise funds for the school. Heroes Day on the 26th will feature the Touch-a-Truck Experience that includes equipment and vehicles from military, law enforcement, public safety, and community service agencies.
