Description of Event:
MayFest is an annual Driftwood Community celebration held on the Second Saturday in May each year. MayFest incorporates 4 to 5 hours of live music preformances by multiple Christian Bands, including Driftwood UMC's Praise Band and choir, which also plays their music at "Fifth Sunday Gospel Hour"" (which is also known by many Driftwood locals as the 'The Driftwood Gospel Opry'); Multiple area vendors of various items of art,crafts, jewelry, furniture, herbs and flowering plants, etc.; children's activities, great food, including home made baked goods, home canned pickles, 'lip smacking' barbeque. MayFest is conducted at the pavilion across the road from the historical grounds of the church.Information:
