Each fall, the Hood River Valley in the Columbia River Gorge hosts an old-fashioned harvest festival with local produce, food products, arts and crafts, wine, cider and beer tasting, live music, a kid's zone, and all the best the county has to offer. Visitors come to Harvest Fest to load up on boxes of fresh pears, apples, pumpkins, berries, flowers, and a smorgasbord of foods from pies to jams to smoked salmon to chocolate-covered cherries. Harvest Fest is a great place to get a head start on holiday shopping too. Here you'll find an array of arts and crafts by regional artists, including glass, wood sculpture, ceramics, photography, jewelry, fiber art, and much more.
