Description of Event:
In its 24th year, the juried festival and open-air art gallery attract more than 35,000 people to Golden. This year, the Festival features a variety of media, including ceramic arts, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and 2D. Prizes will be awarded to artists in these nine categories and cash awards total more than $1,800. There is no admission fee and as always, the Festival features free horse-drawn carriage rides through historic downtown Golden, live music and artist demonstrations. For younger art lovers, be sure to check out the ArtReach Kids Art Zone. Be sure to wander into Golden's historic downtown as many of the shops and galleries are featuring artist demonstrations and special deals all weekend long. Hours: Sat-Sun 10-5Information:
