Description of Event:

On August 28th TRM, the Living Ground, and Upper Merion Township will team up for the 2nd Annual Festival of People on Sunday, August 28th 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Upper Merion Township Park 175 West Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA.

On stage local residents will showcase their talent during the “King of Prussia’s Got Talent” segment from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  At 1:30 - music, comedy, and dance will light up the stage until 5:30 when the sounds of the versatile “All SOULed Out” band will transport festival-goers down memory lane.

Merchandise vendors, Corporate Sponsors and non-profit organizations will be on-hand throughout the day to sell their wares and/or pass out literature about their organization. In addition, a “Kids Zone”, sponsored by Anderson Windows will attract kids of all ages. Senior Citizens will experience a relaxing and free refreshment afternoon in the “Senior Oasis” area, provided by Shoprite, a Wakefern Company. Giveaways and prizes including TRM’s winner of the “People’s Choice Charity Award” will receive a monetary gift of $250 and a feature article in Reflections Magazine.

The Festival of People is an educational and social opportunity that encourages awareness of   diverse cultures and traditions. “The King of Prussia Festival of People outdoor celebration is a fine way for Upper Merion residents of all ages to learn, mingle, and enjoy family, friends, and fun,” commented Howard Scott, TRM director.

TRM is a nonprofit 501c3 organization whose mission is to edify the community by providing educational programs, publications, and civic events that are all inclusive; and to rebuild positive self-esteem and accountability for those in need by providing encouragement, hands-on support, and resources that are dedicated to their specific need.

“This celebration of community is needed in neighborhoods everywhere and are made possible when companies band together in an effort to promote good wholesome family development,” Scott said. “Community events like this would not be possible without sponsor and donor support.
