Description of Event:
Pueblo will celebrate the harvest of the Mira Sol Chile at the 20th Annual Chile and Frijoles Festival on September 19-21, 2014. The smell of roasted chile fills the air as you stroll along the street fair with over 200 vendor booths to check out and many other fun activities. The festival will feature entertainment tents to keep you dancing with continuous live entertainment throughout the 3 days. Entertainment tents will be filled with local dance groups and more than 40 local bands. You will enjoy genres including rock, folk, RandB, blues, tejano, original, pop and more. Don't forget the annual Chile and Salsa Showdown; the food competition will be heating things up the festival. The event takes place in downtown Pueblo on the Historic Union Avenue between 1st Street and "B" Street. Festival hours are Friday, 3pm-11pm; Saturday, 10am-11pm and Sunday, 10am-6pm. The festival is $2 per person, children under 12 are free.Information:
