Description of Event:
Each year in additional to the traditional rides and fair food, the 11 day event celebrates the accomplishments of local residents in Livestock Exhibits featuring over 2,000 cattle, horses, sheep, swine, chickens and rabbits. Creative Arts Exhibits with over 3,000 handmade items in over 200 categories, including fine arts, needlework, and craft and hobbies. Food Arts and Science Exhibits feature baked goods, canned fruits, decorated cakes and much more. Each year nearly $250,000 in premiums (prize money) is awarded to fair exhibitors. The Central Florida Fair further supports area youth during the fair by distributing thousands of free admission tickets to underprivileged children, as well as opening the fair early one week day for school groups to enjoy the exhibits and entertainment at no cost.Information:
