Celebrate Blackfoot is the theme of the 2016 Independence Day and Pride Day festivities. Instead of holding two events on back to back weekends, Pride Days and the annual July 4th fireworks display have merged to become Celebrate Blackfoot. The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 1 with all the traditional free-day activities for area families like free tours of the Idaho Potato Museum, the Bingham County Historical Museum and a free swim day at the Blackfoot Swimming Pool. The Freedom Parade, an all-horse, tractor and classic car parade down Airport Road, kicks off the full-day of activities on Saturday, July 2. The festival includes an exciting schedule complete with local vendors, games, live music and performances, the annual ping pong ball drop, free potato bar and more. And to end the day of festivities will be the Bingham Memorial Liberty Fireworks Show, the biggest fireworks show ever seen in Bingham County. Area residents will be free to view the fireworks at Fort Hall on July 3 for their Treaty Days. However, everyone will want to be in town on July 4 for the Ranch Rodeo to be held at the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds. Hours: Fri 10am-5pm; Sat 9am-10pmInformation:
