Description of Event:
Calvert County artisans will be featured at the annual Calvert Wine and Arts Fest, Saturday, May 10th. The fest will be on the Church grounds at the corner of Routes 2 and 4, Sunderland, MD. This juried show will feature some of the best artisans in Calvert, St. Mary's and Charles Counties, as well as other fine craftsmen. Included will be the Patuxent Wine Trail wineries of Calvert and St. Mary's Counties. The cost at the event to taste wine is $15, for which you will receive a commemorative wine glass and wrist band. You must be 21 years or older to taste wine. Bottle and by-the-glass sales also available. Artisans will include those specializing in pottery, jewelry, fiber arts, painting on a variety of media, wood carving, sculpting, basketry, rug making and many others. Musicians, dancers, children's activities, baked goods and other great food will add to the festivities. Tours will be available of this historic 1692 church and its labyrinth.
