Description of Event:
Bigfork turns over its Village to the Chalk ’n Rock Festival for the first time this year on September 20-21, 2014. As more than three dozen street painters, or Madonnari as they’re called in Italy, transfer their artistry to the pavement of downtown Bigfork, the air will fill with live music from some of the best bands and vocalists of the area. Open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, the free event is intended to celebrate art rather than commerce and attendees will find there is much to see and hear. So come and enjoy a day, a weekend, or even a week and experience the natural beauty that is Montana and the creative beauty that is Bigfork.
