Description of Event:

Annual 2 DAY Music Food & Entertainment Festival. R&B Blues & Jazz Concert & Festival. In partnership with the South Carolina Congaree National Park.

The ever popular SwampFest is a two-day fall event and a unique opportunity to celebrate the nature, the people, and the rich heritage of Lower Richland County.

PART I - Live Concert “Under The Stars”—BBQ Blues & Jazz CONCERT, occurs on Friday October 2nd, 2015 @7pm in the evening at the Historic Harriet Barber House, 116 Barberville Loop, at Lower Richland Boulevard off Garners Ferry Road, Hopkins, SC 29061.

This years concert features BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND THE LEGENDARY, SOUL SENSATION “LENNY WILLIAMS”, The TOP 40 SOUNDS of “SECOND NATURE”, R&B Singer and Columbia’s own “CARLOS SANTAN”, CHEF FAT BACK & THE GROOVE BAND with special guest LISA HAYNES & JESSE SUMTER and THE JAMES BROWN EXPERIENCE BAND & SHOW (5 BANDS) for only $25!!...... the Ticket price for this fundraiser includes general admission, entertainment and food. $20 in advance $25 At The Gate (Day of Concert) Special VIP PREFERRED STAGE SIDE SEATING $50.00. PART II -SwampFest at the Congaree is held in two locations: Congaree National Park and the adjoining historic yard of the Old Mt. Moriah Site & Grounds. Record crowds of all ages from across the country, state and local areas gather for a day of FREE fun! Shuttles take guests from free parking to the Park for tours and nature activities, and to the actions in the “Yard” .

Enjoy the FREE entertainment on the inspirational stage, this years ” FREE CONCERT” features…..Gospel, Rock, Pop, Soul, Historic, & Inspirational Performers, Singers, and Live Bands starring THE ATLAS ROAD CREW, MELODIC HEARTS, JEFFREY LAMPKIN & FRANCIS MARION YOUNG GIFTED & BLACK, FYNE THYMES STRING BAND, THE BEULAH BOYS OF ATLANTA, KATRINA BLANDING, KAIZE ADAMS,  LOWER RICHLAND JUBILEE CHOIR (comprised of natives throughout the Lower Richland area and church choirs). SUMTER TRIBE OF CHERAW INDIANS, and lot’s more!

Also see and enjoy your favorite local and national (singers, dancers, bands, and other performers), hay/carnival rides, and prizes. This year there will be a GONG SHOW (it’s going to be so exciting)!!

Food and product and some of the CAROLINA’S MOST POPULAR VENDORS will also be on site; a special offering is….... SERCO’s famous “SWAMP JUICE”.
