2012 Suwannee River Fair and Livestock Show will be held on Thursday, March 8 – Saturday, March 10 and Friday, March 16 – Wednesday, March 21. For over 50 years, the mission of the Association have been maintained and carried out by non-paid volunteers including citizen directors, parents, FFA Advisors, University of Florida County Extension Agents, and 4-H Leaders. The mission of the association is to provide, through fair activities, an opportunity for any child who is a member of 4-H, FFA, and FCCLA, in Dixie, Gilchrist, and Levy Counties to gain skills, experience, and knowledge that will serve them well as they become productive members of the community. All activities, while competitive in nature, are for the primary purpose of educating and fostering the participant in the areas of organization skills, record keeping, self reliance, self esteem, responsibility, and good citizenship.Information:
