Event Type: Music,

Description of Event:

On Saturday, September 15th 2018 on the water and from land, Thompson Bay/Rotary Park in Lake Havasu will transform into a boaters/floaters concert for an epic country musical experience that will unfold along Rotary Park beach from a “Floating Stage”. You can start tie-up @ sunrise to get your spot.

On Sunday, September 16th 2018 will we be having a “Steamboat Sunday Boaters Meetup”. There will be no bands, just the boating community hanging out recovering/unwinding having good times with family and friends.

This is a must-attend summer lake event for boaters, friends & family, food & drink, a warm positive vibe and of course, good country music.

We have designed this festival to provide a safe environment for boaters and floaters to enjoy a concert experience from the lake rather than from the land.

There will also be food and boat vendors set up along the shoreline of Rotary Park.

The floating stage will rest on the shoreline of North Rotary Beach (1400 S. Smoketree Blvd.) facing Thompson Bay. Lifeguards will be stationed on the stage. There will also be certified EMT divers stationed near the stage. Lifeguards will patrol the event area via paddleboards, or kayaks.

A secured area will be buoyed in front of the stage to allow only swimmers with flotation devices in water.

A safety lane will buffer between the float area and run the entire length of the first of four mooring rows for boats. Each of the mooring rows will include buffer lane in between rows. The mooring rows will act similar to concert seating; a line of buoys will secure the concert seating area and separate the event from the routine boating traffic through Thompson Bay. The event is not anticipated to affect the routine boating traffic through Thompson Bay.

Pontoon safety patrol boats will patrol the exterior of the Thompson Bay buoy line and a pontoon safety patrol boat will be patrol the interior from the Thompson Bay buoy line to the shoreline.

Pre-sale tickets will are available and boaters are available to purchase limited “Prefered VIP PIT Boat Parking”.  Boats will be allowed access into the event space beginning at sunrise. Exterior patrol boats will help to ensure that boats safely and orderly enter the event space. (Come in with your group so you can tie-up together)

Watercrafts (PWCs) will roam the mooring rows and assist boats in safely securing to the mooring line.

Bands are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., and up to 4 bands may perform until 5:30 p.m. The event ends at 5:30 p.m., at which time the PWCs and patrol boats will assist boaters in exiting the event area. Sunset is scheduled for 6:44 p.m. on the event day.

A shuttle boat will patrol to provide mooring occupants rides to the shore to utilize restrooms or to enjoy the floating area.

It’s Lake Havasu’s Boaters Party.

It all happens right here in Thompson Bay/Rotary Park in beautiful Lake Havasu, Arizona.
