Description of Event:
Join us on October 13-15, 2017 for Fort Ligonier Days, a 3-day celebration commemorating the battle of Fort Ligonier in 1758. This three-day event features historic battle reenactments, top-rated juried crafts, delicious foods, live musical entertainment, a grand parade on Saturday and much more. On the grounds of the Fort you will find a living history encampment showing frontier life, military tactics, drills, cannon firing, ceremonies, Highlanders, redcoats, French troops, frontier men and women, Indians and music from 1758. There will be more than 200 craft booths in 5 locations and are linked by shuttle bus service. The five official craft lots are Fairfield lot, Loyalhanna lot, Mellon Park lot, Municipal lot, and Train Station lot. The event features talented artisans displaying and selling handmade items including wood furniture, candles, dried flowers, paintings and prints, stained glass, jewelry, leather, baskets, pottery, metal-work, and more. More than 30 food booths will be serving all varieties of food including roast beef sandwiches, pizza, funnel cakes, pies, crab cakes, gobs and cookies, french fries, pierogies, authentic gyros, hot sausage, burgers, apple dumplings, cheese steaks. Ongoing entertainment ranges from oldies to rock, folk, gospel, country, bagpipes and drums. Hours: Fri 9am-7pm, Sat 9am-9pm, Sun 10am-5pmInformation:
