Galactic Con: Columbia Maryland’s Comic Con is RETURNING June 16, 2018 near COLUMBIA, MD at the HOWARD COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS –
Mild-mannered Columbia will don tights and a cape this summer, when Galactic Con returns it will be to a new, BIGGER show at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 16th. The Columbia Comic Con will give families and fans a chance to experience a local con during the summer months of mega-shows. Galactic Con will have vendors specializing in comics, anime, toys, books and pop culture. Dozens of artists and creators from Maryland, Philly, Delaware, and the surrounding areas, will be present to display their work and offer commissions.
Many more local artists can be found in Artists Alley. Columbia Comic Con will have a costume contest, so come dressed to win some amazing prizes. Special costumed guests will also be present. The local chapter of the 501st, a volunteer group that portrays the Dark Side of the Star Wars Universe, along with the Rebel Alliance to help balance the Force. The Finest, a G.I. Joe cosplay group, will also be stationed there, so be sure to bring you camera. All pictures with our costumed guests are absolutely free! More groups will be announced, last year the Baltimore Ghostbusters and local R2 Builders Club were there. There will be a Shopkins Swap Zone for the collectors. Bring along your Shopkins and enjoy free trading all day.
Lego activities for kids and a gaming area are new for 2018!
