Description of Event:
The 31st annual Homestead Fair will be held on November 23-24, 2018. The event will be featuring horse-drawn hayrides, barn raising, homestead gristmill, toy sailboats, artwork, seminars, and more. Listen to children's choirs and live music. Watch agricultural demonstrations including draft horse farming, sheep herding with a sheepdog, cow and goat milking, butter and cheese making, brick-oven bread baking and more. There will be bake sale and a wide variety of craft demonstrations such as woodworking with hand tools, pottery, sewing, spinning, weaving, broom making, quilting, basket making, leatherwork and more. Children's will enjoy make-your-own projects, featuring beeswax candle dipping, felting, making soap balls, learning to cross-stitch, shaping a wooden spatula and much more.
