Description of Event:
Event will be held on Nov 2-5, 2017. The event will showcase Native American culture through dance, music, authentic craft demonstrations, storytelling, cooking traditions, wildlife presentations and more. Experience the central role of dance in native culture as the festival will feature an intertribal dance and drum competition. Come to learn about primitive skills such as bow making, fire starting, flint-knapping, open fire cooking, and pottery. Crawl inside a tipi and other traditional native dwellings. Children and aprents participate in interactive experiences such as an encampment showing the lifestyle of regional and local historic Native American cultures. Find one-of-a-kind holiday gift in the artists' marketplace, where world famous Native and Native-inspired crafters and artists demonstrate their skills and offer hand-crafted items for sale.
