Description of Event:
The 38th annual Dragon Boat Festival will be held on June 10-11, 2017. Saturday will features races only at MIT Pierce Boat House. More than 65 teams will be competing in an energetic race to the finish line. On Sunday, the festival also presents performances from various Asian cultures, Asian food, and arts and crafts representing traditions of this ancient Chinese celebration. The activities will include Chinese traditional music, Asian folk song, dragon dance, Korean dance, bhangra and bollywood dance, Chinese traditional dance, Chinese martial arts demonstration, Korean taekwon-do demonstration, Chinese and Asian arts demonstration, magic show, Japanese taiko drumming and more.
