More than 75,000 guests are projected to attend the 2014 Wings Over North Georgia air show, Smoke-n-Thunder BBQ Classic and General Aviation Fly-In at Rome's Russell Regional Airport this fall. The world class air show will feature over 12 formation, aerobatic, comedy, vintage, and ground demonstration teams performing each day. The Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) sanctioned Smoke-n-Thunder BBQ competition will draw as many as 70+ of our nation's finest Professional and Backyard BBQ competitors competing for over $18,000 in cash and prizes. An overall Grand Champion, Reserve Champion and People Choice Champion will be awarded on Sunday afternoon. The Saturday show hours have been extended to 9pm. The Saturday evening activities will include the Battle of the Band performances, World Class Foods, People Choice BBQ Tasting, Mini-Aerial Night Show and Fireworks.
