Description of Event:
The Western NC BBQ Festival "Smokin' in the Valley" is a KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) sanctioned event and will adhere to those guidelines. KCBS representatives will be onsite to conduct the competition. July 22 and 23 are the dates for the 2016 WNC BBQ Festival, Maggie Valley NC. Friday night it'll have a special 70's niight! Featuring all 70's music. There is also a People's Choice Competition on Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. A $10 ticket is required. You will be sampling several 2 oz serving of pulled pork BBQ (and local wines) and voting for your favorite. Enjoy samples of the area's finest craft beers and locally made wine. There will be food vendors, the arts and crafts vendors, kids area, and the entertainment for a wonderful weekend. Hours: Fri 12-8, Sat 10-8Information:
