Description of Event:
Western Days is scheduled to begin on the evening of July 1st, 2016, and end following the fireworks show on July 4th, 2016. The Grand Parade will be held on July 4th, making it's way through Monmouth and Independence, and ending at Riverview Park in downtown Independence. This event will feature a carnival in the park, plus there will be Vendors, Artisans, Entertainers, Crafts, and Children's Activities; and at the Independence Amphitheater, there will be live entertainment. A magnificent fireworks display will be presented over the river on July 2nd for Hometown Appreciation Day, and an even larger fireworks show on July 4th.
