Description of Event:
The Annual West Michigan Wine & Jazz Festival kicks off with its first festival July 2 - 5, 2015, based at The Book Nook Java Shop/Best Cellars Wine Bar in the White Lake area. Each July 4th week, the Festival will showcase leading solo and group musicians from the State of Michigan and the region, who will play during evening Happy Hours and Dinners, and special concerts at night. The highlight will be a large concert in a public venue by a prominent group. The Festival culminates in a delicious Jazz Brunch on Sunday at The Book Nook. Additionally, the Festival will include an Artist Reception with art centered on Jazz, and Theme Nights that pair Chocolate, Wine, and Gourmet Cheese tastings with the performances.
“White Lake’s enthusiastic support of Jazz demands a focused, complete presentation in all its great forms, performed by our native musicians from across the region. It’s natural to celebrate Jazz with the excellent wine, gourmet cheese and food, and art offerings that already are here. So, you put it in a beautiful setting and add a public concert, some instruction, and jamming, and it’ll be the best July 4th anywhere in the country,” commented Marc Murr, one of the directors of the Festival. “With the other activities during July 4th already planned, this will make White Lake a destination for vacationers and Jazz lovers from all over,” noted Murr.
Business sponsors include The Book Nook Java Shop & Best Cellars Wine Bar. Sponsorship opportunities are available for advertising during the Festival. A festival pass and individual event tickets will be available for purchase.
The Western Michigan Wine & Jazz Festival returns with great music, food, wine, gourmet cheese, and other surprises every July 4th week.
