Description of Event:
The Washington Town & Country Fair is the 3rd largest Fair in the state of Missouri. Our attendance for the five days of the Fair is around 100,000. Some of the big name entertainers that have performed on our main stage include Montgomery Gentry, Doobie Brothers, Heart, Lonestar, Hootie and the Blowfish, Ted Nugent, STYX, Brad Paisley, The Beach Boys, Kenny Chesney, REO Speedwagon, and Tracy Byrd, just to name a few. The Fair has brought in a revenue of over 1 million dollars a year since 1997. The revenue obtained from the Fair is put back into the community by donations to local organizations, bringing in industries, and helping the schools. The admission charge to fairgrounds allows for FREE entertainment, FREE rides on the midway, FREE motor sports events, livestock exhibits, home ec and fine arts exhibits, Agriland with agricultural fun and educational displays, Family Fun Center for the youngsters, and an Entertainment Tent with nightly entertainment for the adults. Other events and activities include: Bubble Blowing Contest, a Chairman’s Event, Petting Zoo, Grain Playbox, Dog Show, Castle Maze, Turtle Race, Re/Max Balloon, Milking Contest, Cow Chip Bingo, Bunge Run, Jousting, Hula Hoop Contest, Juggler, Puppets, Pig Chase, Teen Dances, Rock Wall, Babaloo, Magician, Muny Kids, Birds of Prey, Jalapeno Eating Contest, Talent Show, & Egg Drop Contest.More Information about Washington Town and Country Fair Washington, MO
