From R&B to country, blues to hip-hop, jazz to rock, the annual Spirit of Detroit Music Festival brings together a wide variety of local independent musicians and three national headlining acts on three stages to create the ultimate weekend music experience. Though it's mostly about the music, the Spirit of Detroit Music Festival, is also packed with dozens of food vendors featuring a variety of tastes, making this unique Detroit festival a one-stop party event to fill your stomach with great food and fill your soul with great local music and the will to dance. An even better way to feel good at the end of the weekend is that a portion of the proceeds from the inaugural Spirit of Detroit Music Festival benefits the Detroit Youth Sports and Recreation Commission, allowing the purchasing of sports equipment and the funding for recreation and youth programs in the Detroit area.
