Event Benefits MARIN MEALS ON WHEELS ~Serving Those in Greatest Need MMOW delivers balanced nutrition to older adults that are isolated and frail living throughout Marin County. Marin Meals on Wheels was created to provide the older population with Home Delivered Meal Services. Annually our organization provides Home Delivered Meals to over 500 households in Marin and each year Marin Meals On Wheels serves over 75,000 meals. More than just a meal, our founding principle of our program is to perform the social service of bringing food and nourishment to seniors and to provide them with routine wellness checks, monitoring their status while living alone, making it possible for them to remain in their homes. By helping seniors remain independent, MMOW preserves the integrity of those that are not ready for relocation to assisted living centers. While sometimes acting only as a temporary remedy, most of our recipients remain within our program until their fi nal days. Our vision is to end senior hunger in Marin County.
