Celebrate summer with a festive Wells tradition: the annual July Summer Solstice Craft Show. Now in its 33rd year, the popular two-day event will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12 at the Wells Elementary School on Route 109 (276 Sanford Road). This juried craft show and sale is known for the quality and the variety of art and craft. More than 70 crafters and artists display their handmade wares inside the building and on the grounds. Traditional, contemporary and country crafts are featured. Visitors will find stained glass, jewelry (including Maine sea glass jewelry), pottery, soaps, candles, wood crafts, fiber arts, graphics, photography, handcrafted specialty foods and much more. Most of the artists are from Maine or nearby, which gives the fair a definite New England flavor. Hours: 10 am to 4 pm each dayInformation:
