Description of Event:
The 20th Annual Stockbridge Summer Arts and Crafts Show is scheduled for August 20th and 21st. We are thrilled and excited to commence our 20th year at our NEW ideal and highly visible Main Street location on the grounds of the Stockbridge Town Park, 50 Main Street, Stockbridge. Stockbridge, blessed with internationally renowned summer festivals of music, theater and dance, major art museums and historic homes brings hundreds of thousands of art and craft lovers to visit the most famous Main Street in America, as painted by Norman Rockwell. What a better location for our show, open free to the public. More than 80 jury-selected artists and crafters will display their work ranging from paintings to ceramics, firberware to glass blowing. Among the returning artisans will be James Logan of Housatonic, MA offering contemporary American Folk Art. His work reflects his love and appreciation for the beauty and charm of life in New England. JD’s originals and signed prints are collected by folk art enthusiasts around the world. Robert Tobin of Pittsfield, MA will exhibit handmade wooden stools, tables and chairs all hand woven with fiber rush, Danish cored or cane. Other exhibitors will include Ms. Sticks Debi Hitter of Castleton NY offering a distinctive style of handcrafted walking sticks and Virginia Stevens of Cranston, RI selling high fashioned original handmade jewelry. Hours are Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Admission to the Arts & Crafts Show is FREE. Light refreshments will be offered during show hours at the Chamber Café sponsored by The Red Lion Inn.
