The Queen of the Prairies Festival of the Arts is an juried, outdoor art festival. The Queen of the Prairies Festival of the Arts transforms historic downtown Sedalia into a venue for award-winning artists, fine art crafters that draws art lovers and fun seekers from all over the state to this one-day free event. Music from local and regional musicians features a blend of folk, jazz, country, pop and soul genres. These stories and musical treats are absolutely free and open to the public. Food booths at the festival attract customers with mouth-watering treats varying from gourmet kettle corn, wood-fired pizza, corn dogs to crispy funnel cakes and made-on-site desserts, more than enough to satisfy anyone's appetite.
