Description of Event:
The Pensacola Museum of Art will host a two day juried arts festival, Art in the Park, at Seville Square on May 12 and May 13, 2012. Admission is free. While Pensacola enjoyed a different type of art fair during the past few years in May, the PMA Art in the Park show will be different. As a juried event, Art in the Park will showcase accomplished regional artists in a full range of media during this event at Pensacola's beautiful, waterfront park Seville Square. The artists invited will include work in clay, drawing, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metalwork, 2D and 3D mixed media, oil and acrylic painting, photography, printmaking, graphics, sculpture, watercolor and wood. Artwork displayed will be for sale. With a full range of food vendors and refreshments, the event will provide families and friends with an excellent way to spend an out-of-doors spring weekend. This year Art in the Park will provide extended offerings including the addition of 25 artists, on-site cooking demonstrations, live music, and a new featured attraction Ð Art Cars. Art Cars are street-legal vehicles that have been permanently transformed into mobile sculptures.
