Description of Event:
More than 30 American Indian artists will be selected for the juried art competition sponsored by Oklahoma Indian Summer this year. Their work will be displayed in Community Hall in the Bartlesville Community Center all weekend. Authentic Indian sculpture, paintings, clothing, gourd art, pottery, wood sculpture, basket weaving, silverwork, beadwork, leather goods and more will be available to see and purchase. Other festival highlights include an intertribal powwow and contests on Friday and Saturday, interactive traditional craft making and cultural demonstrations all weekend, American Indian storytelling on Saturday, church service and gospel sing on Sunday. In addition, food and craft vendors will offer their goods on the parking lot of the Community Center.
