The fourth weekend after Labor Day is a magical time in Sugarcreek located just 8 miles from Interstate 77 in Tuscarawas County. It is a time when Swiss is queen and cheese is for all during an event known as the Ohio Swiss Festival. Popular polka bands like Hank Haller dot the entertainment schedule, with his bejeweled with world-renowned authentic Swiss acts as well as contemporary and variety acts. In addition to dancing to Polka music, there is a Men and Woman's cheese eating contest, award winning cheese auction, Steintossen, 5K / 10K and 1 mile run/walk, Yodeling contest, and Swiss costume contest. In addition to the many rides and vendor contests, there is a kiddies Parade, little Swiss Miss Processional and Crowning, Big Wheel Race for local children, and Pedal Tractor pull. The Ohio Swiss Festival Craft tent fits right in with the peddlers and eclectic make up artisans from the heart of Ohio's Amish Country. The tent features only items that were hand crafted. Antique Car Parade, Main Parade, Wine and Cheese Sample Station, Steintossen, Swiss Contests, and much more. Hours: Thu 6pm-9pm, Fri 9am-9pm, Sat 9am-9pmInformation:
