Description of Event:
Event will be held on December 5-6, 2014. The Oakwood Winter Market will showcase the beautiful City of Oakwood, with its picturesque downtown and its prime shopping venue. The streets will be full of fine artisans, unique vintage goods and apparel. Shoppers can stroll down the festively lit streets and enjoy the beautifully decorated shop windows, showing off the finest of holiday decor and creative imaginations. Market goers can also experience holiday entertainment from choirs, bands, dancers and fine musicians, bringing the holiday spirit to life in the heated tent. Children will be able to purchase special gifts for their loved ones and might even catch a glimpse of Santa as he arrives to make out his list for all the good little boys and girls. In addition, an ice sculpting competition will ensue, bringing cubed ice to new levels. Hungry patrons will not be disappointed, thanks to the vast array of baked goods, gourmet food trucks and outdoor barbeque delights.
