Description of Event:
Nevada Day is more than just a parade! It is Nevada's Heritage Celebration, a gathering of community spirit on the last week of October to salute the state's past and look ahead to its future. Local law enforcement and public officials start the parade, followed by plenty of floats, marching bands, and a variety of entertainment. Usually about 200 entries make up the Nevada Day Parade each year. Locals and visitors are encouraged to arrive early with lounge chairs and blankets to stake their claim for a spot along the parade route on Carson Street. Food, drink and souvenior vendors the route, and local businesses often feature food and beverage specials during the parade.Information:
