Description of Event:
This event brings thirty talented artists from across the country to our area from June 2nd through 6th. If you are not yet familiar with plein air painting, it literally translates to open air' painting, done on location rather than in a studio. Artists will create new works between June 2nd and 6th, in Allegany or Garrett counties, from direct observation, without use of photographs. A variety of public activities will be offered, including an exhibition of juried artists' previous works, a lecture, book signing, and a number of events across Allegany and Garrett counties before the culminating exhibition of paintings created by the artists during the event week.Information:
