A folklife festival celebrating the traditions of Appalachia.
Featuring:
Fine art & crafts;
Showcase of Crafts with cash awards;
Two stages of music: bluegrass, newgrass, old time;
Dance: clogging, square dance, ballet, jazz;
Storytelling Tent;
Authors Corner;
Children’s Activities;
Live demonstrations of traditional skills;
Food vendors.
The 37th Annual Mountain Makins Festival will be celebrated at Rose Center Saturday, October 27 from 10 – 5 and Sunday, October 28 from 11 – 5.
Regular admission is: $5 adults; $1 children 6-12; under 6 free.
