Description of Event:
23rd Annual Seafood Festival taking place on August 23-24, 2014. Started in 1991, the Long Island Maritime Museum's Seafood Festival is held annually, the last weekend of August, and attracts thousands of visitors from throughout the tri-state area who come to enjoy the sights, sounds, tastes and history of Long Island's great south shore. Visitors flock to experience the unsurpassed seafood offerings as well as the many activities offered throughout the weekend. These include live performances on the main stage by several notable acts, children's activities, live pirate shows, public sails aboard the historic Oyster Sloop Priscilla, ""Going Green"" environmental exhibits and over 50 of the top arts and crafts vendors from around the country.
